Hey!  This is my first post here.  I'm having a problem with my '89 240.

She doesn't want to start sometimes.  The starter motor will turn over, and I'm getting spark and fuel, but the engine just won't catch and run.  The starter will keep turning until the battery dies, but the motor just won't start.  The car has over 200,000 miles on it, and I just replaced the fuel pump, but that didn't solve the problem.  I also replaced the fuel filter.

But it only does this occasionally. &nbsp; If I let her sit all day, then come home from work, she will start right up. &nbsp;Other times, she won't start at all. &nbsp; I can also roll her and pop the clutch, and she starts that way. &nbsp;I'm going nuts trying to figure this out. &nbsp;Does the 240 SX have any inherent problems that I should know about? &nbsp;Someone please give me some ideas.... &nbsp;THANKS!! &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

First of all, welcome.

Now... it wont' start... and your starter is okay. How about your ignition? Did you replace your wires?
I can't possibly think of a problem that could go wrong, I've got 75K miles on my '91, and I haven't had a starting problem except for when my alternator and battery died, so... try ignition system... (?) Anyone else?

The ignition Seems to be ok. I'm getting fire from it and I'm getting fuel, but I'm not sure it's going thu the injector at the time that is wont start. I shot starting fluid in the thottle opening just to see if it was a fuel problem. It still would not start. The starter is good and so is the battery. I can't find a pattern for when it will start, But it will start everytime it is push started.

Hey, I just wonder if your 240 has security system
installed. A friend of mine had kinda same problem and
she was told that a part of old security system that
the last owner installed was still sitting there and it
prevented her from starting the motor somtimes.
If your 240 has the system and if it's not in use,
it might be making the problem. Hope this helps you
a little.
