I have a S14 base model. I am looking to do the 5-lug upgrade, and maybe 300zx brakes while i am at it. Does anyone know where I can get these parts, and how much? Also, should I just do 5-lug or 300zx too?

You can either try a junkyard and if that is no luck you can always buy the parts from nissan...but that definitely isn't gonna be cheap.  The brakes however I can get for you if you have trouble finding them.

PDM racing has a 300 break conversion. <a href="http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/brakesz32.html" target='_blank'>http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/brakesz32.html</a>

So it looks like the only way to do it is to get the 5_lug parts off of a totaled 240sx SE. then if i want to later I can just like go to auto zone and buy 300zx rotors and callipers all around (or off other people, whatever is cheaper) and the brake lines from PDM? is that all i would need to do?

Don't forget new 5 lug wheels for the new set-up.
