Oil Pan Question
First off, im doing this on a KA24E.
I have the pan out, but I banged it around and it was a tight fit coming out. With that being said, I don't think I could get the pan back in with RTV on it without messing it all up, so I have a proposal. Could I bead it with RTV then put the Felpro Cork gasket on top of it then bolt it in? Thanks. Nick. |

The cork gasket really needs RTV on both sides but if you can bead a layer on top without really smearing it, go for it. The gasket will at least help in the areas where it's thin.

Alright, so kinda do a little sandwhich type thing and put RTV on both side and bolt it up?
If I can't do that, I can try putting as much RTV on top when I have it positioned where I need it to be. Think that would work? |
