Gauge Needles Question

Does anyone know a way to reset needles? I just installed gauges about a month ago and I haven't been getting my accurate speed, rpmz, and my gas needle doesn't budge, even if I go to the gas station and fill up. Oh and my temp gauge still hasn't been working, even before I put in the gauges....maybe the sensors or something..? Well the point is: can anybody out there help me? or if anything else fails, should I go to the dealership? Aite, thanks peoples!

a: is everything plugged in right
b: is anything interfering with the needles (can they move freely)
c: did you take the needles off at any point

When if put in my white face gauges (aftermarket) in my s14, I have to push on the clear part by the temp gauge so it can move. Annoying, but I've been too lazy to take my gauges out again and try and fix it. Everything else is fine though.

Maybe it's from wire interference?? Heh... taking the gauges out isn't that hard. I've done it a ton of times You should probably fix it before you get an overheating prob without knowing it

if you are using a guage overlay face then the face is prolly too thick so it is rubbing w/ the needle at certain spots.

just stick w/ stock =)

Heh. i have thick ass indiglo gauge face overlays and they're fine. I'm having overlays made for the indiglo gauges even!! heheh.

(and no, i'm not defeating the purpose of the indiglos. by day the gauges will hopefully have a metallic backing, by night the outer edges of the numbers will glow from the indiglo).
