s13 My first rwd car-92 s13 sohc- and i have to build it!

YO, this is bruceguy from socal, !!!!

ive been riding motorcycle for over 4 years, ive lived the life style and done some crazy shit... ahhhhh..hollywood bike night...
then some of my friends crashed and i realized that it was not worth it.
now im 20 yrs old, havent had a (car) for about 3 years, and want to try driving for a change.

well this is how it is,

i picked up this 240 from lancaster for 100 bucks!!

i got a rolling shell with a roll cage, 5 speed tranny, 2 sohc engines and not too much more.

i reccently joined the zilvia forums because people told me it would help me out, and it has.

soooo.... now the car is almost together, i used my basic knowledge to do as much work as i can, now im about to start installing the wiring harness, ecu, radiator, and do nice things for the motor(oil chnge, sprk plgs, oil filter...)

i worked on motorcycles before, but most of this is new to me,
so i need all the help i can get!

is everything plug n play?

can i fu*k up something by pluging it in the wrong place?

should be aware of something?

thanks everybody!!!!

hey, im only building my own car!!

There's an intro thread somewhere. You'll probably be asked to post there.

That said, you might run into smog problems becaues you've got a '92 chassis and a sohc ('89-'90) engine. Your engine must be from the same year or later. While I think that this, compared to other smog issues that 240 owners face, is a minor issue, you might run into someone who checks everything and fail smog.

I was actually interested in this so I looked it up. Check out page 71 on this file.

I think the smog tech will know that the engine is wrong, there not all dumb. You should get a DOHC and put that in the car. Also, the tach reads the signal from a DOHC, the tach won't work correctly with a SOHC in it.
