S13 Convertable
Are S13 convertibles considered solid cars or are they flexy fliers like most rag tops. If so can anything be done to make them a good handling car? Comments about 240 convertibles are welcome.

That would be the plan. The rag tops are abundant and I was considering swapping my S14 motor into one and adding a roll bar and other assorted braces to stiffen it up. Can anyone think of any downsides to this plan?

I heard they are heavy but I don't know just how much. Every spring manufacturer's offerings say "all s13 except convertibles" or "except convertibles and hicas" so maybe they weighed enough that they gave them stiffer springs. and as you know, the more weight that more power you'll need. I have always liked the ragtops, especially with a silvia conversion.
