weird remote start

ok heres the thing I have a remote start on my car, had it before I was ka-t, and it was fine. a few months back it started to do something weird.. when I use the remote start it would start fine and everything, but when you put the key in the ignition to the on position to start it without having to restart the car it won't shut off.. meaning once I start it this way and drive the car drives fine and all but let's say I want to shut it off the engine will stay running with the key out of the ignition. even weirder is that the car will shut off by it self but will start up fine after that. I do have a tuned s13 ecu in my s14 from enthalpy and I never had this problem when I was n/a with the stock ecu. my only guess is that when i remote start the car and put the key in the on position while the car is still running the its thinking the remote start is still going. hence why the car will shut off by itself within 10 - 15 min driving it. so what I do now is just remote start and when I'm ready to drive I shut it off before I put the key in the ignition and start it regular and its fine.. so I don't why it does this so I was just wondering if it could be something with the remote start or the ecu? sorry for the long post but this is the only way I can explain it. just wondering if anyone else had this happen to them or if anyone has any thoughts on it, thanks..

check the brake wire on the remote start. most likely its loose or not connected right. that's what shuts down the remote starter when u get in the car. if that wire isn't connected the remote starter will think its not moving.

Check the temp censor if it has one...I remember a few years back my friend had an issue like that. I remember on my Silvia i woke up one winter night at like 2am to my car starting in my garage ha I ran in gun drawn. GL man bring it to someone that can program or diagnose it or yank it out but be careful with the ignition wire of course.
