building Sr from long block or just buy motor set?

i can get a redtop sr20 with 20,xxx miles for $250.
im wondering if i should save and buy a motor set (trany, wiring, ecu. etc) Or pick up the long block, rebuild it and source all the parts... if i get the longblock i would have to source EVERY part needed from hoses to manifolds. would i be spending more piecing every part or more with the motorset then rebuild that motor. trying to build a Reliable DD Sr. let me know.
here is what i get.

I am not sure that you would be spending more money sourcing your own parts but you will definitely be spending more time. Especially waiting on parts. I hate when you run into a seller that waits 3-4 days before shipping your stuff out. It definitely puts a lot of things on hold.

buy a motorset, I picked up a long block and planned to source parts and build it
Shit was way more expensive then buying a motorset.

Buy both keep the long block for a back up or build it up on the side
