Got the suspension done...

...and damn are the agx stiff when set on 4/8. I can't imagine running them this stiff unless I was on a glass smooth track. However, it does completely eliminate brake dive.

Time to start playing with tuning them for sunday's auto-x.

Regards,

Ben

hi, what kind of springs are you utilizing, how does it feel and how much of a drop?
I'm in the market for suspension, I already know I want AGXs, but springs is something I just just decide on.

I have the AGX's at 4/8 for the past few years The roads aren't too bad here so I guess that helps. Well, there is that one bump on interstate 70.... I tense up just thinking about it.

I had my AGXs set to 4/8 once... For about 20 minutes, it was like riding on a jackhammer to me. Generally, I ride around on 2/4 on the street and plan to play with it when I auto-X, but haven't had a chance to yet, I'm playing catchup at work, working OT...

Phlip,

Yeah, I thought that it was too damn stiff for daily driving with the roads around here!

For auto-x, I ended up with 3 on front and 7 on the rear, although I may go up to 8 on the rear next time to bring the back end around a little more.

As far as springs, I have the whiteline from PDM. They definitely feel stiffer than the pro-kits on my last car, (civic coupe,) but are by no means harsh. I think it's rated at around 1.75" drop front and 1.6" rear, but my stock shocks were blown and the springs had sagged pretty bad, so it didn't seem like that much of a drop. Overall, I think it's a great combo for a dual-purpose, (daily driven, and track/auto-x,) car. I highly recommend them, and Don at PDM has them on special for 550 for the set!

Ben
