ok, i understand the concept behind the CAE, n i have a pretty good idea of where the filter would sit, but haven't seen it in person or in a pic. just basically wondering if u have to clean n re-oil ur air filter more w/ the CAE attached. nebody have ne pics of the set up? thanks.

with the cae, the filter will likely get dirty faster just because its 18 inches lower than without the cae.

i still wouldnt see n e reason to clean it before 30,000 miles which is half the time before cleaning a standard filter

thanks, it doesn't seem like there will be a drastic difference in cleaning it out, i'll just keep an eye on it when i get it.

Don't the filters cost some $30 if even that much? And doesn't the CAE come with something to prevent so much dirt entering the filter itself?

i believe w/ injen, there is an optional heat/splash guard that u can put around the filter to help it out. i have a k&n reusable air filter though that i can just clean out instead of having to go n replace it completely, which is why i was mainly wondering if the CAE would wear ur filter out a lot quicker, doesn't seem like it though.
