transmission install on s13 w/ sr20

I am looking for any tips on how to reinstall my transmission i had to put in a new clutch and i had to replace my flywheel bolts and i have my clutch inplace and aligned. I was told to loosen the motor mounts, try putting in the transmission upside down on at a 90 degree angle. I can't seem to get the right and to get the joke in. the top part of the transmission keeps hitting the body of the car and it has become very frustrating. me and 2 of my buddies are planning to get it in tomorrow. PLEASE IF YOU GUYS HAVE ANY OTHER TIPS PLEASE CHIME IN. it would be much appreciated, or if you can lend a helping hand in the process i am in Garden Grove

Just put a big block of wood on a jack, and jack up on the motor a little bit from the oil pan.

Get as many ppl as you can to help maneuver the tranny, use a service jack or something to help. What took me and one friend about 2 and a half hours to do, took me and 2 friends 30 minutes to do. Just try to get the trans in as straight as possible!

If there is no coolant in it, disconnect the radiator it will tip more, or just take the top mounts out so it tips with the motor.

Keep it turned and it will go in. I did it myself twice, took maybe 30 minutes, well the actual process takes like 40 seconds once you get a burst of energy.

bang the trans tunnel as close as you can to the motor, you know right where the bell housing hits the tunnel, just hit it with a hammer and then its really easy to put your trans in and out whenever you want.

Haha same here it was my first time and I did it by myself. It just takes some patience and some time.
I had a jack under my engine and a tranny jack under the tranny and just jack the engine up and keep trying different things with the tranny and itll eventually go in.
You dont need to turn the tranny 90 degrees thats just for a ka tranny im pretty sure.

Edit: Just saw you got it in so nevermind.
