I guess your asking what it mean's so quick simple version..... running rich is when you run to much gas compared to the amount of air in the combustion chamber and running lean is when you don't have enough gas compared to the amount of air in the combustion chamber.

if u do lean, then ur engine temp gets mad hot, and it'll melt ur shiz fast
thats why nitrous come w/ fuel regulators, or fuel mixed in with the nitrous mixture and why newer cars use maf/map |
