I think its safe to assume that the majority of people on here do SOME kind of street racing, whether it be testing themselves on an open stretch or flat out lighting em up and ripping down the street at a stop light. I think all he's looking for is some fun reading, so why don't some of you guys oblige? I would, but my car is SLOW.

I've really only raced one person. It was some guy in a civic hatchback. He had exhuast and rims and i don't think much else becuase it wasn't that fast. I pulled up next up to him at the light and waited for it to turn green. It turned green and he beat me. His car wasn't faster than mine i just suck at driving. It was pretty funny because then i did the ricer flyby after he had already beat me.

Drag racing isn't that fun to me, I'd rather take my car out to the hill country or try to drift. Drifting is expensive though, especially when you aren't good at it.

Never raced anyone on the street: pretty lame and dangerous.

you know, theres nothing wrong with street racing unless you are stupid to race in traffic. most street racing is done on more or less clear road.

i used raced on the street alot, but only when its safe... from grandmas driving or piglets in doughnut-cruisers.

actually my best race was when i had my galant, i had friends (2 twins) they both had decked out eclipses, they spend over 50 grand in bull**** like interior stereo... cant say nothing bad about the stereo, it won lots awards. but they did have some mods like headers (dc i think) intake exhaust, pulleys. but it was just funny when i spanked both of them one day when we decided to race for fun, and i had maybe tops 6 grand in mods, almost all in performace. you should have seen their faces, i guess they were shocked their expensive paint job and custom stereo didnt make their car faster

and people think that all galants are slow

they kinda got ****ed, i guess that why they sold their cars later on hah.

i can't wait till i have my SR20DET and my car looks sweet, people will pull up next to me to race, they'll rev, i'll rev back. the light will turn green, he'll launch, i'll just go regularly cuz i'm not an idiot. well unless its this one spot by my house thats a stoplight then on the other side its a 65mph road, then maybe i'll go, only cuz its from stop onto the freeway

FUCK street racing. It's illegal, it's dangerous, it's retarded, and it jacks up everyones insurance rates. Go to the track, go to an autocross, talk about street racing there and see what those guys have to say. Street racing is a lot like smoking, you don't mind it, but everyone around you hates it, and feels vulnerable when you do it. Not to mention it can kill you and other people. Ok, so what's my "story" about racing. Last Saturday there was an autocross in Indy. I beat a Z28, a Porsche 944, and an FD, and several other cars with more power than my car. I thought that was pretty damn cool.

Heres the scenario, me in a 85 300ZX n/a with an automatic late at night when this S13 with atleast exhaust wants to race. Light turns green we go all out and I win easily, repeat that and again I win easily. Fast foward 2 years and I'm here and learn I should not have won that so easily, I'm at a lost I guess it was a 89-90 S13. That stories weak but only one that has to do with this forum.
