My car is lacking speed, and good air. This weekend Im going to buy a cold air intake for my car. What brand should I go for? Later down the road Im going for some headers as well. Should I get the 4-2-1? or 4 into 1? Any good suggestions?

Well you only have a few choices with either.
Intake: Injen...arguably the best and they offer the cold air extension. AEM...new kid on the block only offering the short ram. Header: Greddy and Hotshot, both with their own advantages and faults...and I think they're both 4-2-1 designs. |

![]() I used to have the greddy header. It is a 4-1 design and it will crack at the collector tube (Where all 4 tubes converge) and it will also start cracking by chipping away at the exhaust port flange if it is just bolted on because the piping walls are thin. The greddy also flattens out and becomes thrashy after 5500rpm. I now have the Hotshot header and it is MUCH better (all the way up to 6500rpm) Mine is the newest generation and it fits just fine. I also have the hotshot intake and it works too, but on my car (an s-14) the fit is not up to the quality of the way their header fits. Does anyone else have an s-14 w/a hotshot intake?

Screw injen
Get a battery relocation kit and do a custom short ram. Better response than any of the aftermarket intakes, better weight distribution and will still cost you less than the injen intake. |

Get an Injen intake, it costed me 180 shipped to my door. Got lucky in a group buy. Check them often at groupbuycenter.com.
