91 Hatch with 100k lets say, 2500
Add wheels, 500 Paint 1500 Kit+bodywork 500 These being very very conservative prices you now have $5000 $4000 is a good deal, maybe talk him down a bit. If its really as clean as it looks and has been maintained, I'd have no problem paying $3500 for that car. |

to the OP. no 4k is not a good price. what you have to realize is that if the car looks like that, the previous owner knew what he had.....and thus more than likely beat on it. i would have been happier if is was bone stock. people sell their 240s for that much to fanboys with no prior experience. at least your doing research. personally for that car i would not pay over 3k. however why dont you just find a stock 240, and just slowly learn how to work on your car and modify it from the ground up with what you want rather than having to settle for what the previous owner "made". (ew rotas) thats the best option i think

On a side note I do know what I'm talking about, I flip 240s for a living, although I wouldnt buy a car thats in the very top of the price bracket anyway. I do know, however, that here in TX at least, that car would be sold at 4K in less than a day. Maybe TX is just full of fanbois? who knows... |

240 prices vary by a huge percentage based on geography... a clean body (legitimately) rust free s13 would fetch big money here in the north east.. guys in canada talk about that too...
it seems like socal has no shortage of (mostly) rust free and clean cars... find some cars comparable to the purple one in your area and build up your own appraisal. asking some broke tyte drifter on zilvia for their opinion is silly.. like the "i wont pay over a grand" fool in the northeast craigslist is full of 240s going for between 1500-2500.. theyre all crap though (including mine ![]() off topic but PLEASE do a write up tutorial on how to do that.. and how many 240s/year do you flip? how many 240s/year does it take to be above the poverty line? this sounds worse than those vague commercials on how to sell un-named products online from home.. like the one where the guy in front of the shitty crossfire goes "... oh and the money's great too..."

Awesome logic
Stock R32 GTR's go for about 10k in good condition. So according to your logic stated up there ^, you wouldn't pay more than 1k for an '91 GTR with less than 100k miles? ON TOPIC: 4k is a little too much considering, which has already been said, the previous owner knows what 240's are popular for. Which probably means he's raced and/or drifted the car. The reason for the kit and paint could even possibly due to an accident the car has previously been in. Try getting a CARFAX before you go any further in the buying process.

case in point. my red hatch. kid wanted 2k firm, i took a look and pointed out a bunch of things wrong. offered $1.3k and was firm.....he took it. 2nd case. my clean ass coupe, kid wanted $3.5k i also pointed out many things wrong with it and asked question. offered $1.9k.....he took it. really it just is how bad you want it. looking back i wish i would have saved my money and bought a 350z lol. alas....im a 240 addict. oh well edit. oh and as for the white hatch. youd be stupid to buy a "clean" car for that much from a forum member. (sarcasm alert!)as they obviously do not know what they have nor have ever had the temptation to beat on that car.
