Repin for PowerFC

I picked up a PFC for a good price but its for a blacktop rather than a redtop which I have. Everyone is telling me that I have to repin the redtop ecu plug in order for it to work, Others say the two ecus are interchangeable, so are the PFC's. Which wires have to be repined? I have searched EVERYWHERE and all I come up with is a pinout picture that gives me no information. I have gone through a bunch of FS threads for the PFC's and 2/3 times the people say it can be repined and there are only 4 wires.

It depends on which harness the PFC is made for.

"Blacktop" can mean two different ECU's, the MT E5 (early blacktop), and MT J4 (late model blacktop).

The E5 is compatible with your harness. The J4 will require the re-pin you keep hearing about.

It might help to find out what year SR20 your PFC is for, If you can't find which ECU it is to replace.

My PFC says SR202, which means its for an early model blacktop 93-96. That engine has an E5 ECU.

Great, no re-pin necessary
