Found my gas leak! but got questions
Ok.... in pic below... the blue arrow is pointing to the fuel filter(the silver canister), right?
Now the white arrow is pointing to the hose that is coming down from the fuel filter. At the bottom of the hose, there is a clamp that is holdin the hose to a metal pipe (dont know what to call it). The gas is leaking from where the clamp is. My guess is that there is a crack in the hose or something else. My question is, Anybody know the part number for that hose? ANd second, When i go to replace the hose, is there a special way i should go about replaceing that hose so that i will minimize the amount of gas being spilled? Thanks in advance. |

part number? HAHA
do this: go to pep boys or some auto store that sells hoses (you buy by the length) pull fuel pump fuse turn on engine until dies crack it a few more times now remove that little hose on the hardline and fuel filter go into pep boys/autoshop match the hose size with the ones they sell (various sizes) cut to same length pay replace with the new hose test done our friend, itsybitsy had the same hose repalced just a few months ago in and out job. ![]() |
