Have any of you seen the red 240sx in the June 2003 issue #51??
Not a bad looking car at all but thats not what this post is about.

The article left me confused and a little bit ****ed off for two reasons:

1. The rims on the car are Volk GT7's not GTC's like the mag suggests

2.They refered to the the LE model as "lacked the mantle of sporty amenities afforded on the top-of-the-line SE, like 5 lug hubs and a limited sip differential."

Now the rim thing just ****ed me off becasue a magazine which is supposed to know everything and considers itslef God's gift to the import culture was to lazy to do some simple homework.

However the LE thing just plain confused me. My understanding is that an LE is an SE with leather. Now since I have an LE and it obviously has 5 lugs and yes it has limited lip too I am wondering are the Canadian and American badgings different or is this just another unsightly oversight by Import Tuner???

nissan had a lot of weird stuff..some w/ lsds some not, dealer options/customer request..swapped or whatever

thanks -dousan36, ill check it out soon i hope it has HUD i want the cluster dont care if the speedo works (put it in for shows and just to have a big tack in the middle ) dont rember if its 5 lug or not

i was told that only Canadian cars came with the HICAS or four wheel steering is that true??

s13s only coupes in USA/canada had HUD
and no coupes had HICAS
and no s13s in world (from factory) had 5 lug

yeah, the magazine messed up in the article, the GT-C's when they are GT-7's is just one of the mess ups. I didn't get to proof read the article before they printed it. This car started as the base model, 4 lug and no LSD.

Still man you have done one thing that most of us dream of and never will get to do. I noticed the car thats why i bought the mag!. Don't worry there are lots of people (myself included) who were just choked that she was infront of those beutiful rims on the cover!

I thought all S14 SEs came with 5-lug and the only ones that did not were the base models. The LE suspension is somewhat softer, that's true. But LEs should come factory with ABS and LSD, unless the original owner ordered one and wanted only leather. In that case, it would still wear the LE badge but would not have ABS and LSD. As Dousan said, Nissan's weird and somewhat stupid with all the **** they did with the 240. Just make things complicated for us 13+ years later.
