Have to clutch car twice to start on KADE

we all know we have to step on our clutch to start the car but then it wont start when i do mine. i would then have to let go of the clutch pedal and then step on it a 2nd time for it to start. this problem just barely came up and i was wondering if its my throwout bearing? im sure it cant be that since my 6 puck Spec clutch only have around 12,000 miles on it and it drive and go in gear fine. tranny is also in good condition.

What do you zilvians think it could be?

When you say it wouldn't start, is the starter cranking when you turn the key to ST, or nothing at all?

I'm going to let the other people try because I don't understand your problem and you didn't answer my question.

oops mybad!

i hear nothing cracking or working when i try to start it but then know that my battery is working.

i dont think it my starter can go out quick like that. i had barely used it since it was sitting for almost a year and when i got my build done i got it tested at autozone and they said it worked fine. my starter should have nomore than 20,000 miles on it if i can remember

Is that located under the clutch pedal? would you happen to have a picture of it?

You can wrap the part in tape so it pushes the button, or some people glue a nickel, or tape some sort of metal peice or whatever there. My little black rubber thing crumbled out and that happened to me. You still must have some in there at least.

"Pedal Stopper Clutch Switch" is where its located. Check it out and see if you just have a blank hole where it's supposed to be pushing in a button looking thing

g6civix has taken care of what I was getting at.

Don't do the tape thing. That won't do shit if the relay is bad.

Exactly. Starter relay is going out, most common symptom on an S13. Replace it or bypass it.
