I was just wondering if any of you guys installed these bars and what are your opinions. I'm thinking about getting either one of these brands. And is there really a big difference between brands like Cusco or some other cheap brand or am I just paying for the name.

IMHO a strut bar is a strut bar, but you have to get one that allows for adjustment after pre loading them. Cusco is nice stuff, I would get these Cusco's if It were me though. They make a bunch of dif ones but these would be the ones I'd get.
Of course, these arent you normal strut bar <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> Cusco rear triangle bar ![]() ![]() Cusco front/rear OS strut bars ![]() |

the rear one looks way different... i heard great things about Cusco, but it is way too expensive for me, but no matter what bar, you get u will feel it a little bit more stiffer... i have the Pilot one right now and it feels tight
OBX ones looks like pilot too.... so it is up to u? you dont do road courses do you? the difference is not that big but if u do some type of racing on courses then every little bit counts but if u r just on the street then u will be fine with anyone, u will still beat those hondas around the turns, just remember to gas hard only on the exit of a turn and not in the turn like a front wheel drive |

Right now I'm only doing it for performance on the streets. Maybe later I'll go get Cusco's, but that's when I get my whole suspension setup. When that happens, I'll try racing on courses. Hey by the way, do you know the torque specs for the front and the rear? I have a 91 fastback. Thanks

i can look it up but i believe the front was 30-35lb torque
and the rear is 25lb i think.. i am not for sure.... but i started with a lower number then worked my way up.... that is the proper way.... actually the cusco front is basicly the same as the Pilot and OBX front.... |
