Talking Sick Conversion Plans

Alright guys,
I can already feel the flames comin, but before any of you trip at least give the idea a chance. I have plans worked out to complete a full fledge s13 to r34 skyline conversion. It will take a lot of cheese, I know that already, but I want to do something that hasn't been done before, and looking a Sport Compact's article on McKinney Motorsports rb25 sil-line conversion on a 91 s13, I don't have long..If anyone in here knows someone who has done and rb swap before or has seen anyone do an r34 front conversion on a s13, please share some knowledge with me or point me to people that could possibly help...any feedback is appreciated...

Ok, Ok, let's keep it clean guys. I've heard of rb engine swaps before, but I'm talking body modifications too. And I respect the opinion that modifying my s13 won't make it an r-34. That isn't the point. I have seen Honda Accords and Preludes modified to look like an R34, and damn if anyone's going to do a R34 conversion, it should be done on a Nissan...It's not about having a Skyline fellas, it's doing something with my car that hasn't been done before...Besides if you read my post carefully I'm asking if anyone has seen it done before (engine+body convo) so please don't just say it's been done, tell me where I can find it...I'm trying to make an idea a reality here let's not focus on tearing it down...BTW thanks Dousan..

blah
f the r34 conversion
u goig to make nissan into a honda style 'tuning'
f*ck the taillights and headlamps
its a 240sx
if you arent happy with it, go buy another car
as far as changing engines, im ALL FOR IT.
but if your going to mess with the body, BUY A HONDA and do that conversion.

u get no respect from me...as well as other member for doing a 'front end conversion'

engine, damn props to you because its A LOT OF FABRICATION.

I didn't want to have to do this, because I geniunely want helpful information with this and not just hating *** criticism...if you don't like the idea, don't reply to the post, and those who have already replied that they don't like it, be mature...I'm not a child and I'm not asking for your approval, so don't waist half of my thread with flames and criticism. First of all, what are the actual goals?

To look like a skyline?

To have Skyline power and performace?

Both?

From what I gather, I cannot figure out what really is the point. No flaming, but it is either looks, performance or both. Talking cheese, If I really wanted to go fast, I would take an INDY block and heads and bolt it into a 94 Vette. That I do not feel has ever been done.

Big cheese.

I know this was no help...but you have a legitimate post...and if you want to do what has not been done, check the search out. Just actually, it would be more condousive (sorry Aaron for the pun) if we could figure out what the end goals are to be.

You want to get noticed?

You want to spend some serious cheese?

You want a 9 second car that drives close to streetable?

Want to attract girls?

All of the above?

Just curious how we can give real input actually. (genuinely)

Nokka, please!
WTF kind of sleeper is an R34 looking 240sx?

Steps to happiness for you:
1. go to McKinney and pay them to swap an RB into your car.
2. keep your car a sleeper by not making it showy.
3. don't show off. your car is not special to anyone else but you.

Whoa, everybody take a step back. nobodies a faggot or stupid. Lets all be adults.
But seriously s13 to R34? I don't know about all that. No way you'll get AWD. maybe headlights and tails, and the eng. has all been done before. But past that, you are in deep murky uncharted waters.
Hate to say it but I'm with dousan and nitekid on this one.

P.S. You wanted flames, remember?

Dousan pretty much summed it up. Sounds like your in it for the "bling." and what you're trying to do has already been done.

if you want to be original, do a civic front end conversion with custom altezzas on your s13. and while your at it, swap your ka motor for a b16. now that's orginality.

who cares what other people think. it sounds like u planned this out already and know what its gonna take. i say screw everyone else, because its your car and if its not exactly what you want, then whats the point?

one thing i wanna say is that imho the s13 and the r34 look pretty different. to me the s14 and the r33 look similar and the s13 silvia and the r32 look somewhat similar. cant really think of a usdm car that looks like a r34 though. just something to think about.

ps. alota people have been saying how the 240sx is the new civic. i dont think it should matter. does it make your car any less slow or any uglier? the only thing i can think of is for the people who dont have a 240 yet, and the influx of people buying them will take up all the 240s b4 they can get 1.

pss (is that right?): keep an open mid, about his project. might turn out really good. u never know.

just venting from all the hating going on.

Might look weird...is yours a coupe or fastback? i think it look weird on all cars besides a R34 where it belongs. If you do plan on doing it theres gonna be a hell of a lot of bondo, fiberglass on it. It might just be extra weight on your car even w/ the skyline motor in it...

I'm actually ****ed off that the forums were screwed last night and wouldn't let me explain the whole thing to you. The reason I am proposing this project is because and friend of mine is opening a high performance shop that will focus on building up imports, you know, engine swaps, kit applications, interior, and straight out building hybrid monsters. In order to generate appeal, we have plans to build a couple of hybrids to take to shows and races, so we don't particulary care about it being streetable. My friend handles the mechanics and I handle the designs inside an out...the s13 to r34 is just the tip of the iceberg. So there you have it...rhyme and reason, thanks to the people who offered support instead mediocre, and useless flames that do not help. I'll say it again, if A ENGINE AND BODY MOD CONVERSION OF A S13 TO A R34 HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE AND YOU HAVE SEEN IT, GIVE ME INFO ON WHERE I CAN FIND IT....don't simply say its been done...offer proof. otherewise you don't help me, you make yourself look like a jackass and you waste the thread....

and yes I do own an s13 coupe, the one that I will be conducting this project on is my second s13 coupe.

you want answers but you dont do the leg work
r32 lights on coupe have been done
rb25 26 have been swapped in

front ends? not much but r32 on s14

why not r33 r34? because people have something called TASTE
it looks tacky

swapping in another engine is cool and all
but putting other front ends on cars that dont belong like that..stupid.

people dont do that yet here because the ricers havent gotten their hands on it (until you i guess) and most people are cheap

people dont do it in japan because its a waste of money

do the research and you'll find TONS of pics and info on it.

how far are you gonna go? by full-fledged do you mean you want the entire front end to look like a skyline and a taillight conversion with rb motor?

why would a "high performance shop" be interested in doing such a ricelike thing?
motor = good idea
body = stupid idea
if you want a skyline then buy one because this is going to look ****in hideous

Hey man... looks like you're getting a lot of advice here... so why not add my 2 cents... seriously... you're gonna spend a ton of money doing something that won't look too nice and is IMO straight out retarded!!! There are sil80's and s14.5's and stuff... but this just wouldn't be right. Can we get a photoshop expert to show him the demise of his S-Chassis... well don't waste your time guys

With all the money you're gonna spend get a REAL skyline!!! and like dousan said... you don't see these in Japan because it looks tacky... just keep the clean lines of your s-chassis man

Why is there that sudden sprinkle of rice coming into the 240 community??? Leave the conversions to the HonDuh peeps!!!

ok, this post is dead now, because i'm getting no valuable feedback...this is what i was asking for people....

1) r-34 body conversion- r34 tails, headlights, fenders, fascia, grill, and hood, on a s13 coupe....

2) rb26dett install in s13 coupe frame....

Again, I have seen an rb engine swap, I'm looking for pics, info, etc., on anyone who has done it before so I can see where mistakes may have been made, not some cheap *** photoshop work that I can do myself (I am a graphic designer as well as a tuner...)

SO.....it seems apparent from the haters in here who have waste half of my post with their bs, that no one has seen what I'm proposing done before and can't show me any proof that its been done or point me in the right direction....Thanks again for the few that tried to understand the idea and offer a lil support rather than waste my time bashing it....i'm out
