fully loaded 95 240sx for 6600...
5 speed, red, about 60k miles. thats the asking price. it looks really nice, but i haven't drove it. im going to go check it out tomorrow. what should i offer him? 6000 sound cool?

Sounds good to me. If you know that he's been trying to sell it for awhile, you can haggle more. Try and pick out EVERY single thing wrong with the car and then (obviously depending on condition) I would offer 5500 first, then 5800, and if he still doesn't then say my final offer is 6000. Even if he still doesn't accept that, he could easily call you back.

tell him you hear a valve tapping (or something of that nature) just try to make like the car sounds worse off than it really is, and if the guy is a dope tell him it has high miles!!!

You should also take a friend with you, let them take notes and point out EVERY ding, dent, scratch on the car...then all you have to do is shake your head in dissapointment(dont say a word, it makes them feel uncomfortable) If you have neer bought a used car before, you should searge google for a HOW TO...will teach you some good tricks to talk down the asking price.
