SR MBC NOOB question

So i was installing this new MBC on my sr, and since it already had one i just placed it exactly where the old one was. But the way my boost controller was set up was different than the pictures in the instructions.

anyways heres a pic of my setup. I was wondering if the thing i circled in the green (boost actuator? idk) is suppose to still be connected to the MBC. MBC is circled in red.

boost controller straight from the wastegate

With an aftermarket boost controller, there is zero need for the factory boost actuator.
