I think the Dodge Avenger 4 Cyl shared the name 2.0L N/A motor as the Eclipse. Also the 3rd Gen Eclipse and Dodge Stratus R/T share the same V6, I think.

I heard somewhere that a Chrysler/Dodge Sebring shares the chasis as the eclipse but was a little longer.

Well, the Plymouth lazer shared the chassis. Plymouth = Chrysler, and Chrysler = Dodge. Thats probably where the mixup is.

I don't think the Avenger came with the 4G63 2.0 turbo motor. I think the only options were either the 4 cylinder or the V6.

well i found out. the dsm motor was the na 20. four which was the base engine. the 2.5v6 was a dodge engine and was only available for the avanger es. oh well. i was lookin for a cheaper alternative to the eclipse but with an engine just as potent. anyone know specs on the 2.5 v6?

The avenger has the same chasis as the eclipse, i think, not 100% on that, but I do know they share the same engines and chasis as the sebring.

The base model came in a 140 hp 4 cyl 2.0L engine shared with the eclipse.
while the ES model came in a Mistubishi 2.5L V6 yeilding 155 hp and 161 ft/lbs torque

Don't ask me why, but they only made the ES in auto.

the avenger and ecplipse have identical chassis interiors and they sare the same 2.0l i-4 but not the turbo. the avengers top o the line engine was the 2.5L v6 made only for chrysler (chrysler engine). the whole reason i started this thread was because i like the eclipse gst and i though that since the avenger had the same chassis it might have the same engine options....i guess not. i was gonna use it as a drag car since it would be cheaper to buy than an eclipse. oh well.
