S14 random door unlock problem/security light

A few weeks ago, the alarm on my car was triggered (not sure why).......

Ever since then, having a bizzare problem....

Sometimes, the red "security" light flashes....

Recently noticed that if I am in the car (or outside of it), the car will UNLOCK itself on its own.

Example:

Driving the car, used the power lock button to lock the doors.....randomly, a few seconds later, the doors unlocked and the security bulb began flashing.

Can anyone shed some light?

I am wondering if someone didn't try breaking into my car with a slimjim (triggering the alarm a few weeks ago) and caused damage/wacked out the key cylinder sensor and now it randomly causes the door to unlock and the security bulb to come on.....

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks,

J

Try to reset the Alarm system, by taking the fuse out and putting it back in.

The door rods can be out of adjustment , from years of use , they slighty bend hovering between on, off .
