Ways to make MONEY without a JOB!?

Well, i searched and didn't see any threads covering this topic.

Obviously being a productive part of society would mean your are employed or own a business... The truth is, currently there are a record number of honest people that are unemployed. So this thread is dedicated to the Zilvia members that are in need of some sort of income.

Anyone that has a legitimate way of making an income while unemployed lets hear it. Ill start with what little odd jobs that some people my have not considered and some more obvious ways.

0- Find A real Job!
When this fails proceed with the rest of this thread.

1. Donate fluids!!
- This means plasma, sperm or eggs-for you ladies. Where I live we have many places you can "donate" plasma, but the all pay you. Or for the dudes you can donate sperm! As for the ladies donating eggs is a real pain in the ass. Pay can range from 25$-50$ and takes about an hour.

2. Scraping!
- Scraping metal isn't just for the tweakers and homeless! If it makes you feel better, it is recycling, but you get paid. Obviously aluminum and copper is the way to go. If your a car guy then you might have a block or bell housing laying around,or whatever, you can scrap it. Block and large stuff its easy to make 100$ More the better.

3. Sell your SHit!
- Its simple, ebay and forums. Pick a price and get rid of it. Or garage sales, maybe it would be better to just hawk it at you local pawn shop. DUH.

4.Sell Other Peoples Shit!
- If you have any understand of buying low and selling high then your set. Garage sales, flea markets and even large chain stores that have stupid sales. Sometime its easier then you think to buy something and turn it around for a profit. But this take some start up funds Sometime you might only make 10$ an item, but it adds up.

5. Scams!
-I don't condone ripping individuals off, BUT! large chains like Wal-Mart, Target Costco or whatever. DO IT. One store might have a sell when another location doesn't, buy it on sale and return it at regular price. Or with item like bikes it easy to swap price tags. Buy it low at one store and return it for a profit a few miles away. You can make 100$'s on the bikes.

Well that's all I got. Your got a better idea lets hear it. Anything. It's hard times for a lot of folks. And if is not that bad in your area I don't want to hear it. People need to understand in some places it is has truly become an issue.

That's what I do. I do freelance web development, design, and photography. I pull in an extra probably $500+ a month on top of my full time jobs salary where I do the same stuff. It makes for a hectic life (I'm working 7 days a week and 16 hrs a day sometimes ), but it's worth it while I'm still young.

Also online surveys, which I would advise staying away from. It could go in the scam section of ways to turn a dollar..

With #3 ive noticed another way of selling to get the most of your dollar.. Find people in WTB threads, generally you can get more for your item if somebody actually wants/needs it.. Over somebody who may just low ball you if you have it for sale because they dont REALLY need it.. but wouldnt mind it if you accept there low ball.

LoL, thanks for the grammar lesson. I was anticipating that, as I am not an English major, but I am educated. Obviously to find a career would be desirable, but if you are denying the difficulty in that you are ignorant. It is very hard in some areas to "just get a job", as some people say. But I covered that.

As for number 5, suck it. That is for another thread. Each individual will have differing opinions on those matter, varying on ethics and morals. I want a truly unbiased way to have an income when your unemployed.

but if you buy something on sale, the price would reflect on the receipt. why would the other store refund you more than what it says you paid on the receipt? ( because you need the receipt to return the item )

Actually some stores (Like Target) Dont require a receipt for a returned item, but instead of giving u cash, u get the value of the item on a gift card. but then again, u can only do that so many times (They run your ID, and can only return a item, with or without a receipt 2 or 3 times, per year)

At Walmart you do not even need the receipt to return things. Not sure about the other stores mentioned.

usually if they dont require a reciept, they give you the lowest sale price on that item. thats what we did at Sport Chalet for returns. and switching price tags will just get you arrested or a fat ticket. we used to catch people doing that all the time. we even gave some gue a $300 ticket for stealing a ping pong ball.

yup, when i was in high school i ate a snicker bar inside the store forgot to pay for it on the way out, got me a 500$ ticket.

Not quite sure about the area you live in, but in the bay area, if you can't get a job you aren't trying hard enough. There isn't a city in silicon valley that doesn't have a store, company or restaurant hiring. You've either built up your pride so high that you won't take another fast food occupation, or you are a lazy fuck.

Hell, even illegal immigrants can get jobs in the area I work in, none of them having completed highschool or higher education. Well, you might say, they're willing to work for lower wages... Then get your ass in gear and work for an equally low pay until you ind pne that pays higher.

This is not a thread discussion on rather on not to get a job. Deal with it, there are honest, hard, working people that are searching and cannot net enough income to support themselves because of the state of the country. Which is not reflected solely in the bay area.

Back on topic-
Wal-mart policy says a customer gets three returns a year without a receipt, no questions asked...

A lot of larger corporations do returns without receipts.

I forgot One, research labs for pharmaceutical companies! They give you meds, half of which are placebo's and log the side effects. Some are 24 hours and others are longer. But they all pay. Some will pay 1000$ for stronger meds, or labs that take longer. Maybe up to a week.

I understand, especially those who had maybe lost their job and are now unable to pay their mortgage. Was just trying to get the point across that people don't try hard enough at times.

Anyways I'll leave that for loud noises. A couple ways I've seen people make money without a formal occupation are:

-selling crafts online: customized clothing or jewelry seem to be pretty popular.
-odd jobs on craigslist: self explanatory
-gambling
-entering sweepstakes or prize contests
-investing: this obviously takes money to start, but what doesn't?

I am involved in Asthma studies and research with my old doctors I went to as a kid. When I reached the age of 14 they offered me $500 to do a study (test medicine on you, take blood, blow into a machine, etc). Ever since then I've been doing similar studies with my doctors for research. There was one I did that paid $2100, another $1100, and a couple smaller $300 ones. The $2100 had 5 24hour long visits. Many of the studies lasted for 3-6 months. It's a great way to make some side cash over the course of half a year. I'm not sure how you would go about actually being a patient for a study, they asked me one time when I was sick.

I've made about 60 bucks just posting nonsense, pictures, and pictures of girls...

but of course in order to cash out you need to make 100 bucks... I just gave up since I found a job...

pick n pull only gave me 10 dollars for my S13 shell, and they give me the shittiest prices for the parts I pick, I decide to just get parts my own way... I just throw the parts I need over the fence, and have a friend catch it on the other side...

You found a cell phone? Return it, most likely they will give you 20 bucks as a reward... don't expect any thing just do it. ( I used to work at a Theme park, I made about 400 dollars just returning phones, even though I would of made more selling all of them, I didn't. And don't give me bull shit about turning it into lost and found, any thing is game at the end of the day...)

Of course, you need capital.

You can make quite a bit in a very short amount of time, but you're entirely beholden to what's available in your area. Some times you'll see five cars in a week that you could each clear a bunch on, and then not see anything seriously mispriced for a month.

the problem with this is most people today think their car is gold and price it as such. ive found only a few good deals in the last 2 years and im a car dealer
