Gauge Upgrade? More MPH? JDM?

Unfortunately we are limited to a stock cluster that only goes to 120mph... what have you guys done to get around this? Is there some type of replacement cluster available? Overlay + Recalibrating?

Another idea... I've seen a few S15 clusters on ebay, etc and they go to 180 (but that is KPH). Is there a way to get the JDM cluster to be calibrated to MPH isntead of KPH so that you can effectively have a cluster that goes to 180 MPH...?

Any ideas or is there some type of common upgrade I'm not aware of?

Thanks,
Adam

I sold my euro S13 cluster on ebay not to long ago. The speedo went up to 150mph, think I got $40 bucks for it. Anyway look for one of those, though I have no clue about compatability.

ok, first of all, 180kph is only 111 mph so that would be a downgrade. second, why do you need a higher speedo? after 120 mph it doesn't matter anyway, if you get caught, you're going to jail, if you hit anything, you're going to die. i would like a lower speedo so it's easier to read, with the higher speedos the numbers get crammed together and you have to look at them more carefully.

My reasons for wanting to go over 120 are my own... yes I realize that 180kph is less than 120...which is why I was asking if there is a way to convert the JDM cluter display MPH, so in essence it would go to 180MPH.

youll want something like this http://www.lsauto.com/products.asp
or just go to the website @ lsauto.com. to bad they only have it in s13 though. not sure if they are making one for an s14 or if there is a way to fit that into an s14 gauge cluster but that one goes up to 180mph. the cluster goes for $175.

hope this helps

Tomei makes one that goes to 280kph
Impul makes one that goes to 300kph
Nismo makes one that goes to 260kph iirc
Eurospec are 240kph

Lots of choice, but lots are expensive.
