![]() I have a set of stage 3 tein adjustable coilovers and tein pillowball mounts and Ive had them for a little over a year now. I recently took my tires off to roll my fenders and clean up the wheel well a bit. After I did so I pulled onto the street and I started hearing a hard knock over every little bump and crack coming from my driver side front wheel well. I check to look to tire rub or rim rash against the well and, nothing. I tightened all the bolts on the control arms and sways ext. But I still have yet to find anything and its been driving me nuts for 2 weeks. Could it be I need to get that coilover re-valved, or adjust the pillowball mount? Idk and I thought I'd see what you guys had to say before I put too many eggs in one basket. I'd really appreciate any tips or thoughts.
Thank you. |

your driving a 20 year old shit box 240, theres a good chance its the shock tower flexing and making the "noise" your getting. Check your seams and if they look fine then set your coilovers so they are identicle (left to right). If both of those are fine then start looking through the front suspension. could be the sway bar, mine made a noise over every bump and it turned out the sway bar was binding

Finding suspension noise can be very hard and tricky, If I can find anything with my bare eyes I take it to a shop so they can diagnose it.
