![]() Hi,
I'm buying an S14 Kouki (OBDII) shell this weekend, and I'm also hoping to buy a motor/trans (OBDI) from an S13 with 112K on them to put in the kouki. I've done some research and apparently the only difference in the motor is the distributor and the upper intake manifold (Kouki is OBDII and has extra sensors on the manifold). However, I'm not sure if the transmissions are the same as well, or if there is something different. Like I said the motor will be OBDII compliant without too much hassle, but what about the transmission? Thanks for your help guys! ![]() |

The transmissions are almost identical (assuming they are DOHC), with the exception of a 1/2" hole in the top of the bellhousing on S14 transmissions to accomodate the crank angle sensor, and the dust cover on the yoke being metal on S13s/rubber on S14 trannies.
