Girlfriend is buying a car. Any suggestions

After a wreck, my girlfriend is buying a car within the next month. Her price range is $13k and she is looking for something that drives really well. She cares more about how it drives than how it looks. She is also must have one that is reliable and on the cheaper side to repair.

I am taking it upon myself to help her since I am living vicariously through her until I graduate next year and have the money to buy a sports car lol.

I'd love to hear some of your opinions about the driving experiences of various cars.

She's open to anything as far as sedans, coupes, convertibles, and what not.

She looking for a 4 door? Coupe? Sporty? Luxury? We need more info.

$13k should be about enough for an AP2 S2000. That's what I'd be looking at.

She's definitely looking for something sporty. Preferably a sedan, but if she likes the car then it does not matter.

I'm looking at a
2000 S2000 w 50k selling for 13.5, but it seems a bit high
2008 Jetta
350z
G35

Any experience with any of these cars?

ap2's are def out of that range unless your willing to buy r title like me, I'm grabbing one for around that range, but yeah def ap1 with money to spare is what I would do if you don't mind having a really small car

They're up there though. Like $18k last time I checked.

My girlfriend bought an '05 Accord Coupe not too long ago. Would've gone for an '06-07, but we got a great deal on this one.

She loves it. Sporty looking car. Handles well. Pretty good on gas.

We're looking at the GS300 and IS300. It's tough to find an IS300 under 100,000 miles. Anyone have any experience with how either of them
drive?

I'd say get an accord coupe/ sedan. They're sporty, better than altimas (imho), and last forever.

I'd say go with the GS300 from personal experience. Super smooth ride, really quiet when driving, and as long as you keep up with the maintenance on the motor it will give you no problems. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one!

And there is this evo ... 2003 Mitsubishi Evolution Evo 8 modded

I believe that it was well maintained, but 99k seems like a lot for a turbocharged motor. Have any of you guys had experience with high mile evos?

Tell her to get a Toyota Yaris 3dr LB, You can get them for brand new for near 13k and slightly used for a little less, reliable as fuck and you're going to want that gas mileage right now with the way gas prices are. Plus I think it's standard with all the airbags you need add some wheels and they don't look to shabby

yeah i also had trouble finding a used IS 300 for cheap.
Manual models are also rarer & more pricy.
$15k and 60-80k mi is about right.

GF buying a car

If your GF is buying a car, I think it is better to start of Honda because this are very reliable and user friendly to the owner.

1994 Altima. 4 doors. Not fast enough to get hurt, cheap as hell to replace, and good MPG. Tell her to bank the rest, as if she's crashed one it's bound to happen again.
