well right when i thought it was done i found a deal on a SR20. its missing stuff like injectors, alternator turbo lines wiring harness and ecu. but i got it for $800 and they normally cost about $1600. This one did have the fake greddy intake manifold, 2 turbos, t28 with hks actuator, and t28, it has upgraded high compression pistons a greddy oil pan a cometic headgasket, and a megan racing turbo manifold. so put in a bout $2000 more dollars and itll be done in a couple days
Well repainted the engine bay. its all sparkly and pretty now also mounted my intercooler, looks crooked but its not i just cant take pics on my phone lol ans how it sits now, im waiting on the turbo and a power steering pump then its going in ts on a stall right now because the wiring harness i bought was shot so im waiting on a brand new one that will be here in about june. also waiting on the correct clutch to ship and a new turbo before it goes in, so for now here is how it sits next to my moms s2000 that she just got, our driveway looks awesome lol FINALLY got everything i needed for my tranny to be put on... well got the missing bolt today, starter passed the test so it went in... cold pipe done, fuel filter done, whole intake side done..... waiting on turbo and wiring harness then itll be done. |

All intercooler hooked up, BOV hooked up. Going to clean my valve cover that just got back from powder coating then new spark plugs and what not... Only waiting on wiring harness.....

towlie-As you can see by the kouki (after the wreck before lowered to normal) and the rear of the s13 it will go lower... thats as low as the coils will go. I'm saving up for some pbm or stance. |

Fanboy?
Please. Looks good as it sits, that's a joke. Bell bottom areo looks like ass if it's not scraping the pavement, everybody knows that, you must just have poor taste. Hellaflush? When did I mention anything about being flush? Learn to read. If i was talking about being "flush" I would have said something like loose the cheap wheels and get something to properly fit the overs. But i didn't, because I wasn't talking about, or even mention, fitment. In the second sentence OP said he's building the car to drift, it's going to get fucked up if it's low or not.. May as well look good doing it. But your excused from that, I already know you can't read. What really is fanboy is OP's kouki bumper, that shit is ugly and it's only a matter of time before it gets placed in the rice thread. Cliff notes: -you have no taste -learn to read |

I agree with your statement on style. The US screws everything up with style, and I agree, no offense OP, that this car is ugly, and the build is nothing new, or even clean for that matter, there's way to many of these "build" threads, if you even call this one that. As far as the newb statement though, half the guys "teaming up" on you have been here longer than you, which would make you more newb. I'm done.

Join dates... I still think it'd look better lower. But I don't care if shit gets broken, so there's no hesitation on my part. |

and they're in the right to. if u cant say anything nice, then dont say anything at all. this is the op's build thread, not your's. its not going in/on your car, so who cares?
slamming it would be pointless. even as a drift car. "its a drift car so its gunna get fucked up, so might as well look good while doing it". more like "its a drift car, where performance is important, so its probably better to have proper suspension travel". i don't understand the obsession of coming onto an online forum and talking shit to people you don't know, about THEIR car. dont like it? who cares! they do and thats all that matters. its their money going into it, not yours. start giving the op some money for mods, and then u can talk. as i said, if u can't say anything nice, just keep ur mouth shut, and move on.

im not referring to his "lower it more" statement when i said that. i was referring to his little rant.
Quote:
there is no reason to act like a bad ass on a forum, or at all for that matter. its called being humble. look it up. and now im done as well. gl to the op with the drift car build.

Ahh okay, thanks for clarifying. I was messing around with the whole going soft thing, but I do understand what you are saying. Good luck to op on the build. I like the car, and am aware that not everyone is going to lower their cars to hell. Would like to see it in action soon. |

You all are some of the most winey people I have ever seen on the internet. Talk all the shit you want. It doesn't hurt my feelings at all. I'm just happy with the progress I have made in the past few months on this car, if you don't like it, then oh well. As for the kouki, the bumper was a limited time thing done out of the matter of pure bored (friend backed into it messed up the paint so I "fixed" it for the time being) Its off right now waiting to be painted ( been off for a month now) But anywho, thanks to the mature people in the thread! The car will get better its just a matter of time and money.

The US has great style, and bad style. Just like Japan and Europe all have great style and bad style. Quote:
Car looks like its coming along nicely. I personally think you are spending to much time and money on it. You need to put the 2way, coils and seat on and hit the track for awhile. Your gonna hit plenty of cones and haybails while spinning out, so all the body stuff this early on is just money down the drain. Looking fresh isnt gonna help you drift better or make it any easier for the guys in the cars, waiting for you to stop spinning out and get off the track, so they can take their run. Too bad that rear over stops early. kinda ugly that way. (but I guess the trade off is the side skirt fits correctly ) Bumper on your daily and the stickers look hideous. Loose em and that tow hook toy and it will be a really clean 14 that fannboys can jizz over being 20 though, your doing just fine in my book. If you never do a bumper like that again, im on your side, lol Can you get the parents to buy you a better turbo then that ebay one?? |

dont post shit on the INTERNET and not expect criticism what did you expect, everyone to ride your sack? from the 30 seconds i spent skimming this thread, all i saw was a 97-98 that was pasted with bullshit on the front bumper.. and an s13 with a shitload of of shitty "enjuku shopping kart" parts that i'de personally never waste my time nor money on but again, thats my perspective.. others will find this car fresh and dope. you're 20, do what you do best... make mistakes and learn as you get older. i did. |
