rb25 overheating

When I'm running my RB25 on idle or High RPM it get's hot real fast. The Upper RAD hose is HOT and
the bottom one is cold... I was not just of what could be broke beetween the Waterpump or the
Thermostat ?

So I took off the thermostat and tried running the engine again. The Temp Gauge don't climb over
the mid bar... so it's perfect ? But after a couple of metal to metal the temp gauge goes back to the
top.. because the coolant does'nt have the time cool down in the rad before going back into the engine

I tried my stock thermostat into boiling water at home... and the thermostat is working.. so I put
everything back in place... and still Temp Gauge goes back in the red"

Someone have any ideas ?

stock temp gauge? did you put the KA temp sensor on the RB or are you using the RB GAUGE sensor. the small one wire temp sensor needs to be changed to the KA sensor because the skyline temp gauge is different than the KA. if you dont it will not read the correct temperature. it says you are overheated but you really could be running NOT
