Crank but no start

I just finished swapping in a 5spd into my 95 s14 that was an automatic. While doing the swap I pulled my motor to put a new one in that i got from a friend that had an s13. I have already done the over ride to make the car start without the clutch pressed in. When I put the s13 ka24de in I swapped the distributors since the plugs were different and used my s14 maf. The car will crank but it will not start or even act like it wants to start. What could I have missed?

Double check the distributor cables, make sure they are on the appropriate spark plug. Otherwise go through all the steps testing for compression, spark and fuel.

Made sure fuel lines were in the correct spot. Car still doesn't start. It will crank but it will not even act like it is going to start.

or how about you stop listening to everyone and check codes from the ecu. If its not starting, then i guarantee its throwing codes. That will help diagnose your problem a lot quicker then telling everyone very little information on your turd box s14.

try spraying starter fluid on air filter if it starts its probably your fuel pump or clogged fuel filter

I tried that and there was no difference. I just installed a new walbro 255 and 300zx fuel filter. I can hear the pump turning on and have pulled an injector to verify that they are spraying. I have tripple checked my timing and it is dead on. I also did a compression test and it was near perfect across all cylinders. The only thing I can think of is it has to be something with the ECU or a connector somewhere. I have read every auto to manual swap thread and I followed every step with the exception that instead of just swapping trannys I swapped motors and trannys.

What about the spark plugs and the spark plug wires? Are they all on tightly and on the correct cylinder? Double check even if you are sure. Another thing is make sure everything is making contact. On my friends s13 the cables wouldn't snap onto the distributor / coil securely and would kind of just sit there. As in, you could pull off the wires with almost zero effort.

I lableld the spark plug wires to make sure they wont get messed up and made sure everything was connected everywhere. I have literally pulled every plug on the car, sprayed it off and reinstalled them tightly. The plugs are brand spanking new and the gap is dead on. I am getting spark, i had a friend stand out front and watch for a spark.

The only three codes the car is throwing are for the overrun clutch s/v, tor conv clutch s/v, and line pressure. None of the above would not make the car start.
