e fans are fine, just go to autozone and buy a thermostat fan controller and they will work automatically

like this

Derale 16738 Electric Fan Accessories

or

Summit Racing SUM-890015 - Summit RacingĀ® Electric Fan Thermostat Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com

or if you feel the need to spend much more money

Works like a charm

Its that, or find a sr20 clutch fan and shroud. but most people upgrade to e-fans anyway. The clutch fan when used with the shroud can provide more cooling, but e fans are fine when installed and controlled properly.

Or if your super broke and can do some wireing, you could use a relay setup. first find a relay out of a car, one from a 240 will work fine. wire the switch to any ignition source (only power when the key is on) and then wire the throughput power to the battery, and be sure to wire in a fuse aswell then run your grounds and solder and heat shrink everything up.
with this setup your fans will be on whenever the key is on, but it will only use the switched power as a switch and will pull the actual power for the e fans from the battery, that way you dont have to worry about the drain on your system that always pops fuses and such. this option sucks becuase the fans are loud, and it will have them on more so they will ware out faster. you could get crafty and wire in a switch bypass to the toggle switch but the best bet is the thermostat controller.

Good luck lol
