Are you hooking up the powerleads correctly? Do you have the sock installed?

Ddi you buy your Walbro from Ebay or from a reputable dealer? There are some knock off's on ebay now that have been known to have issues.

With Walbro's and most aftermarket fuel pumps, make SURE you always have at LEAST a 1/2 tank of fuel at all times.. The fuel acts as a heat sink for the fuel pump and once you're below a 1/2 tank, the fuel pump is exposed and begins to heat up.. Running below a 1/2 tank of fuel can cause your fuel pump to overheat and malfunction. To ensure long fuel pump life, keep the fuel over 1/2 a tank.

Mine was in a plastic bag. I have heard of others having issues with the oem sock. Switch to the new walbro sock. There is a reason why walbro supplied it. I have a s14 and its a bitch.

When I got my walbro I was told by the shop that I can just reuse the old sock also long as it's not damage which alot of there customers to even when they do installs there. And from what I have searched online people reuse there old oem sock too. And about keeping the gas tank have full is just stupid I guess walbro is not for me them because of the type of job I do. That's going to cost me an ass of money a day just to keep my walbro pump happy so it won't die on me. I've used walbro pumps before on all my hondas back in the days and never had a issue even with out running aleast a half tank of gas I would run it down and the pump have least me for 4years before I sold the car. Either they are making crap now or I most just been having bad luck with the last two I had. Is there any other company's fuel pumps I can use that isn't picky like a walbro out there where I have to keep my gas full a half tank all the time.

The guy who talked about keeping your tank full at all times was just speaking from his ass, it will not hurt your pump at all...heck if the pump only picked up half a tank, how would it suck the rest up? lets be serious.
HOWEVER if you have an S14, and you do plan on doing track days or events, keep it above 1/4 tank for sure...if not when you slosh around corners you'll suck air for sure...stupid s14 tanks!

That kind of reminds me before the 2nd pump went out I was pulling out of a steep parking lot at a angle and when made it on the main road the car just died. And my gas needle was on alittle above E. About how many time or how much air it needs to suck before it kills the pump.
