![]() Many of the songs start out a bit slow (I don't mean beat wise) but then they get good. I really don't mind the introspective or "emo" Drake as some call him. Thank Me Later was a great debut, I'm in the minority who thinks so. But I want sort of a concept album from Drake, which he seems incapable of making because of his inclination towards making those radio pop singles. |

I see the point of view that the author is coming from. We can easily see what his musical tastes. But that shit? Been there, done that. At some point, you get tired of listening to all that fucking gun talk, hood shit. Grow the fuck up. For real. That hood shit was cool back in high school when every body wanted pretend to be gangstas, but come the fuck on, man. I'm so tired of all these fucking MC's who act like they haven't EVER experience an emotion outside of fondness for their fuckin' momma... It's bullshit. Everybody done had a heartbreak at least one time in their life. That's relateable. Not everybody can relate to standing on the damn block all year slanging dope and shit. I grew out of listening to bullshit I don't relate to a long time ago. Shit ain't got nothing to do with me, so why listen to it? And this author wanna talk about Drake opening the door to a ton of other fake ass MC's?! What about all the rappers who glamorize hood life and entice suburban ass kids to try jumping into the drug and/or rap game? That shit is way worse than a mothafucker just releasing some personal thoughts and feelings on wax. Personally, I feel that Drake's music speaks to alot of people because they've experienced the shit he's talking about. People who've experienced that hoodass, hard life, gun talk, dope boy shit? A vast minority. But that vast minority's got the biggest fucking mouth and I just wish they've shut the fuck up. Fun fact: There are more black men in college than there are in prison. Stop glamorizing hood shit and clowning on normal people when they talk about normal shit. /end rant. I did like Thank Me Later more, but Take Care is decent. It's just a low more key and even more personal album. His ability to get so personal is the main reason why I dig Drake. The stuff he is talking about? That's real shit to me. I know about that. That super hood shit that the Drake haters seem to love? That shit might as well be another planet to me. |

You either hate him or like him. I liked the album still playing in my car since the week before the release. Just look up the Carter 4 thread and the same shit will be discussed just sub in lil Wayne for Drake.

I say this album is better than his last. More bangers at least. I just love t-minus's beats on it. He's a niche artist. If he were to make a sing-only album, and then a rap-only album, I'm sure they'd both be successful.

![]() I cannot honestly say I have liked ANYTHING Drake has done, except for that time he fucked up his knee and fell out on the stage and required surgery. With that in mind, I continue to practice my right to indifference, choosing not to listen to ANY of his releases after the three times I listened to his first album. So no, never heard Thank me Later and never will |

Agree with you that whoever writes/talks like that should have their right to free speech or any speech whatsoever revoked, until they go back and get their elementary school diploma.

that 2nd pic made me laugh.
![]() I usually am close minded about new popular radio artist, so i will give it the doubt that I just havent listened to it to make any judgement. I heard some of his old stuff before blowing up and sucking off lil wayne's lil wayne, and it was decent stuff.
