So after searching for weeks where this damn clip goes ive decided im blind and retarded and need your help zilvia ! There are four wires coming from the lower harness and alternator so it has to do something with the charge because my alternator is in great shape and works but doesnt do its job due to this wiring. Heres 2 pics of the wires and clip if anyone knows where it connects please let me know ! or since the wiring is somewhat sloppy it may be completly done wrong and there shouldnt be this connector. I bought the car swapped and im trying to clean it up a bit. ANY Advice is much appreciated. RED TOP SR20

Looks and sounds like maybe it goes to your fusebox. S13 or s14? sr im assuming?

yea its a redtop sr in a s13 hatch. I dont think i have any connections like that in the fuse box though just fuses

My guess = Looks like the connector/plug that goes into the alt.

it's definitely not for the alternator. it looks like one of the transmission sensors plugs.

That white/Red Stripe wire is the Alt Charge light wire.

If that one is not connected the Alt will not charge

Does your speedo work as well? Those look like the Speedo wires as well

was your chassis a Auto? If so you need to convert the auto harness

My bad i meant underneath your fusebox. Make sure its not one of the plugs underneath that plug into the box itself.

definetly not the alternator plug i have that hooked up forsure. My speedometer and tach both work. I bought the car swapped with this wiring mess even though it runs fine just doesnt charge the battery so it eats through them. Looks like the car is original 5 speed too.

Dude Thats the plug for your Alt Warning and Speedo and Oil Pressure Switch.

Your Wiring is just really fucked up

They probably wired the speedo at the first plug comming off the speedo

I just cant figure out where the damn white and red should connect so the alternator does its work. It definetly doesnt belong in that shit that connects to nowhere ? I fucking hate wires !!!!

The FSM shows you where it connects to, but the plug will connect to around the fuse box on the passenger side strut tower
