So i looked up the ebc brake pads i needed for my abs 95 s14 zenki, they are the ebc dp2792 pads according to every website i could find on them,
so i ordered them and they dont fit my front brake calipers.

the pads themselves are about 1/2 an inch too wide to fit in my calipers?

so what ebc pads do i need to get when i return these?

any input would be greatly appreciated as all i can find is i need the dp2792 pads for abs front brakes on an s14.

I know this might not help you, but you better stay away from ebc brake pads. Or just any ebc stuff. I had green stuff > would self destroy as soon as heat build up. Red stuff > the same, but would not brake when cold. Last time i tried was with yellowstuff, as i heard that was a great improvement over green and red stuff ... While it is true (pads dont self destroy and can brake when cold), it is also true that it does not brake that much. I used them for half a track day after bedding them in ... then went back to wilwood polymatrix.

I has ebc green stuff pads on my first s13 and they were the best pads I think I have ever had on any car I have owned. Very noticeable bite on initial breaking and they never seemed to fad on me. They didnt turn my wheels black, didnt squeal. I didnt have anything bad to say about them although I never "tracked" them I did drive stupid fast on country back roads and auto-x with them.
Im not arguing with you, its just something I need to keep in mind now as this was 9 years ago when I had them.
I had considered putting them on my drift car just to keep my wheels cleaner since I have never experienced fade with my r32 brakes anyways I didnt figure these would be a downgrade, but I guess they might be after all.

hey thanks for the advice, i might just return the front pads and go with something else. any suggestions?

I heard good things about porterfield R4 and R4S (one for street, one for track), same for hawk pads but i never tried them. Shipping cost to get them in France nearly doubles the price of the pads, so i have no experience.Some people do though, and they like them. It depends on what you use them for i guess...
People use ferrodo DS2500 too here and are quite happy with them, but they squeal a lot. I am using wilwood pads because i have wilwood calipers front, but i am also running projet MU rear pads. Quite good, but expensive. Yet they offer a pretty nice brake balance on my setup.

TBH it is a bit of a can of worm. Pads are working fine for some cars and usage, and may not work correctly for another. Yet some are bad for every usage ...

yeah this is a street/canyon car and i had read good things about ebc, everyone has their opinion though as well.
i might go for some hawks for the front now.

anyone with an abs s14 can chime in on what pads i need though, was odd to have the pads that were supposed to fit, not fit

so i found that i use the DP21279 brake pad and not the dp2792 pad, for anyone in the future with this issue as it wasnt very clear, everywhere says this pad is for 4lug nonabs models.

ordering them now and well see!
