Positively grounded battery?

Just picked up a sr20 swapped s13, and am trying to get it running to see what I have. The problem is, with the battery relocation that was done by the previous owner, the battery is positively grounded. I've searched pretty hard to find anyone else that has this done and I can't seem to find anything.

Is this even possible? Or is this car just cross wired?
I'm hoping to not fry my ecu, and other ignition parts if they haven't been already so I'm afraid to switch the cables around.

The car does have lights on in the interior when it is hooked up as is (positively grounded).

Any help would be awesome

I'm trying to avoid just switching them back hoping that I don't blow the ecu and other ignition parts. The 75A fuse is popped, and when I put another in it popped pretty quickly.

ecu is possibly fried. maybe not though.

take out the cps and spin it to see if you have spark or fuel injectors firing.

check all fuses first. ALL of them

You should be fine. I use to drift my old hatch, and had the battery "relocated" to the trunk and that shit would fly everywhere. It basically looked like 4 of July in the back of my car at night.

Switch the fuckin cables back to where they're supposed to be. What are you waiting for? The 75 amp fuse being popped is not a good sign

1. It doens' matter 'which' pole you use, so long as it's consistant. That is, if your grounds are all 'negative' then that's what you'll use. If your ground is the positive pole, than all '12v+' sources will need to be the opposite of normal. A battery doesn't know/nor care what side is which, as long as it's the same.

2. Your car is 12v, not 6v.

Switch it back, and be happy.
