advance timing on a rb25???

any one know if i can run like 17 degrees advance timing on a rb25 boosting at 10psi and running a bit rich... stock is 15 degrees would it be safe to run 16-17 and will there be any power advantages? I have no afr monitor i know thats the safest way to tune and set timing.... but will a degree or so be that bad???

Why would you wanna do this?
You're not gonna get much more out of it if your running a stock ECU

Yes you can. Do it. Why stop at 1 or 2 degree? 100 degree for 100 more horsepower and response that you have never feel before.

Running more advanced timing on a fuel map designed for slightly higher octane gas mix is always a good idea.

do not advance the timing at all on 91 oct. gas. if anything pull 2 degrees out. maybe even 4.

that engine is ment to run on 95 octane min. the built in knock sensor will help. but it wont fix broken pistons from low grade fuel.
