S13 sr20det upgraded, now runs like ass

Heres the deal: have an s13 sr that ran amazing, basic bolt ons. Intake, full exhaust, FMIC, etc.

Got a KILLER deal on the following:
S15 t28 w/ reclock kit
Apexi power fc
Denso 550 inj

The car it came out of ran very smooth and was quick. Series 2 sr like mine

Put everything in my car and it runs like ASS. Stumbly idle (700-800 instead of typical dead on 950) and the motor hops around physically. Also there is tons of blue smoke and it sounds like its misfiring.

Wth??

Checked everything. Injectors are installed correctly, no kinked hoses, all are working. On the turbo side there are no cracks/damaged lines etc.. Oil restrictor on oil line is being used.

Since it ran perfect 2 days ago I can rule out cas, tps, iacv, maf (ka-e) and 02 sensor.

I do have a afr guage but it had a warm up period so it's no help here. Knock on pfc said zero..??? New to these so tomorrow I will re check.

Purchased the injectors with fuel rail to make install easier. Replaced lines and worm clamps (one was busted). Everything is kocher there. It did come with a Nismo FPR.. Assumed it was fine because it was per adjusted (no pressure guage here)

Tomorrow I am going to swap the regulator out for my stock, check the plugs (albeit they wouldn't matter to much) and go through the pfc to ensure it is working correctly. Also sleeping on it may help lol.

After reading/ asking around the blue smoke doesn't seem to be an issue.. Just oil residue being burned off. Drips, smudges etc. btw i reused an s15 multi layer exhaust mani gasket i had previously installed...have done previous manifold swaps with little to no smoke so I was freaked for a minute. I will check to make sure it's not coming out the tailpipe as well.

Any ideas in the mean time?? GOD I hope the pfc didn't drop the tune

Only thing I can think of is if he had something different on his car that would make the tune different. (z32 maf, cams, etc)

I say FPR...just cuz its good on another car doesnt mean the pressure will be the same on yours.

Also, I'd check the tune, it might have dumped the settings...

High or Low impedance injectors? If low, you need resistors.

Perhaps injector plug is incorrect or mixed with another, or a dizzy wire is backwards. I dunno.

Sorry sometimes the easy stuff gets over looked. For the most part, I agree with what the other dudes are saying. Figured you would want to try out everything before buying new sensors etc.

blue smoke is generally burning oil, but if you have fuel issues it can sometimes be blue/black. You should be able to smell it and tell what it is.

I agree with the MAF being different, generally those who upgrade turbos/injectors AND buy a standalone, would also upgrade stock MAF which would max out very quickly with that setup

The car it came off of was running stock maf and a walbro, just like OP's.

I think the tune is just off -- he put stock fpr back on the rail and the car was a lot better but still not running right.

I think he's taking it for a tune in the next week so it should get sorted.

Thanks for the replys guys.. Been busy forgot I made this thread lol.

Swapped fpr's... Ran way better. Messed with the tune on the controller also. Dropped the injectors from 80% to 50% and played with the inj cor adj down to .678 or something new that. Idiled amazingly better, rough.. But dead on 1000.still cuts on revs (no matter how light)

Now that the blue smoke is gone (oil residue) you can smell the gas when you stand behind my car. Wideband broke (stack) but its obviously way to rich

Towing to the dyno hopefully... Tuesday.

Probably. I do understand the stock MAF is a choking point for my setup, I actually have a z32 lying around in my garage.. I still need to source a pigtail, couplers/intake that will fit tho. At this time it's not a big concern I just wanna get my car running
