trunk lock removal s13

i have some spare parts from my crashed s13 that im learning how to paint and bondo on. the trunk is in perfect shape so i have been sanding it w/ the lock in it but i really need to get it out. there is a "lessly"(fork shaped tool to get behind door panels) wedged between the lock itself and the trunk. now itried to bang it out but it wont budge. i was thinking if i could get that otu then the whole assembly would come out by pulling it from the inside out. how the hell do i get it out. also my painting process is i use 180,220 on orbital then i hand wet sand w/ a 400. instead of a tack cloth how can i get the rest of the residure off? can i use accetone or mineral spirits or something?
