Thanks. I replaced the old one with a brand new one. Was trying to avoid taking it to the shop but I think that's going to be my only option now

Where did you get this brand new one? Just because its brand new, doesnt mean its good, specially if its from Autozone or Advanced. If you're looking for near OEM, atleast get it from Napa Parts. Then double check to see that it pops by sticking it in a boiling water.

You need to buy OEM or Nismo for a
Nissan thermostat. The parts house thermostats are terrible and never work correctly. Did you get all the air out the system? It took me 45minutes to burp my system when I replaced my radiator and thermostat. It's a PITA to do.

I did bleed the system out well. How would I go about burping out my system? And I also did buy and autozone thermostat. Ill have to copp one from Nissan then just to make sure it really isn't the thermostat

If the bottom radiator doesnt get hot after a while, that means the thermostat isnt opening to let the coolant circulate thru from the radiator. No cooler coolant flowing into the engine = overheat. Like I said, you can get a thermo from Napa since they get their stuff from OEM suppliers. Just test them just to make sure before you slap it in the car. Get some boiling water, stick the thermo in there, use some kind of thermometer to test the water temp and see if the thermo opens up when its supposed to (roughly 74-80 degree depending on the thermostat rating).
