Attain KSP short shifter problem! Please Help!

So I bought this short shifter by Attain and everything was there EXCEPT the base plate. I don't get why it doesn't come with the Base plate and how you would install it? Anyone know how to install it or another way around this problem? PLEASE HELP ASAP.

Send a message via AIM to finesses240
looks like it installs just like the factory one, with the retaining clip

No one really seems to sell just the base plate by itself. Usually comes with the shifter already attached.

Take off the snap-ring that's retaining the OEM shifter, install the new shifter, and replace the snap ring.

by the looks of the design you shouldn't have to change the base plate.

just as !Zar! said, all you need to do is remove the factory shifter and drop that in place..even says so in the description.

"The item comes with all hardware for installation along with an Aluminum Shift Knob. It is a drop-in application with a solid one-piece design that effectively reduces the stroke by approximately 10% between gears while also 'solidly' engaging in gears."

well that's where I kind of got stuck. I didn't know that you had to take the snap ring. Do you recommend getting a new one or just leaving the oem one in there?
