MY S13->S15 widebody conversion update **56k die**

yeah, i've posted this up on a couple of other boards, but i just wanted to get some ideas on paint.

Aren't you guys glad I got rid of the bomex kit?...lol

(I know it looks like crap so bear with me )

So we were workin on it at the shop and we decided to install the rear fenders with just rivets and be done with it.

But for ****s and giggles molding it all in came up and here are some progress of it.

here are some random shots and some of the passenger's side fenders. It is roughly molded, so it will be finished on monday.

looking hott man, as opposed as i am to molding on body parts, (b/c of my first 240--completly molded--bad experience)
but that looks really good. and prolly the best choice for rear wide fenders, you want it to look like its seamless and your car is made like that.
good work, keep it up

yeah, i think its needless to say that I am keeping it

I'm very confident that it will not crack. My body man=God and we're using some good ol SMC adhesive body filler

suspension, brakes, and new wheels are going to be priority after paint..

I'm not really sure what kind of wheels I plan on going with.

I'm kinda torn between doing a 5 lug conversion and getting another set of FN01Rs 17x9F and 17x10R

OR

getting a set of Volks with low offset 4 lug pattern 17x9F 18x10R

what offset are you looking at...to fill that cave you are going to need like 17x10.5 +12 or less with additional spacers...

I have 30mm wide rears molded on mine and I'm running 11" wide volk GTC's so if those are 50mm you'll need some 12"S to fill them up
nice work by the way

well i'm definately not going any bigger than 10 wides in the back-its NOT a total show car now, its definately gonna see some action. Low offset is key to making it flush.

It doesn't have anything to do with it. I just haven't been able to find a nice looking rear bumper.

What kind of adhesive did you use to mold your rear widebody panels on? I am molding mine on and have heard to use a fiberglass body panel adhesive, I just havent found where to buy some yet. I heard soemthing about corvette body panel adhesive.

haha, actually we ARE using Vette glass, its called SMC Adhesive Filler. VERY strong stuff.

We are primering both fenders up today. They are about 80-85% done. I'll try to get some pix

these were the sizes I think would work well
Front17x9 +17mm offset-i think the fronts may need to have a lower offset, like +15 or +12
Rear 18x10 +12mm offset

but im not sure, i'm still getting feedback from others who have more experience in this area
