EGR check engine wont go away

well i already checked my ecu and it said that my egr function was bad so i go do the test wit the diaphram. squeezed it and the car started to get bad idle which is exactly what its supposed to do. So my egr is basically fine. i reset the ecu and the light is gone. once i drive about 5-10 mins after i reset or mayb several miles, the light just pops up again out of no where and it says egr function BUT THE DAMN UNIT WORKS! now anyone kno what could be it? bad ecu/bad egr/dirty lines? thanks

I had the same problem and distinctly recall riding around with the light on for over a year with no issue, making absikutely sure to be nazi about ALL other preventive and regular maintenence, not being able to depend on the dummy light...

Take it to the dealer, pay them to diagnose it & then take it home & fix it yourself.

If you need a smog and you can't get that light to turn off, you're gonna need to take it to the dealer anyways...

NO NO NO NO dont take it to the nissan dealer

My uncle owns a smog shop, they will diagnose it for less than half the price. It could be the vacuum tranducer or just the sensor.

havent had any problems on the 240 but on my Lexus, the EGR functions properly, but the hose was clogged with so much crap that even when I cleared it the CEL would come on a day or so later... I kept pulling the same code

clear out all the hoses and the EGR valve itself and see if the light comes back
if you havent done this already
