cutting wheel well a must?

Hey all I have some ugly body damage on both sides of my rear quarter panels on my s13 and was thinking it would hide those very well with a wide body but on the other hand I dont want to hack up the wheel wells,My question is if I was to get like 25mm or some small MM diameter widebody is it a must to hack the wheel well or can I skip this procedure and still look great?Likw I stated I dont want to go very wide just the minimum to cover the ouches while enhancing the looks thank you.

the whole point of overfenders is to fit bigger wheels, how are you gonna it bigger wheels with te old metal still in the way? without cutting your shit will look sunk, and thats not acceptable

Only way I can think of this working is if you pull the fuck out of the metal to the point it is flush with the overfender

I'm in the same boat with you man, I bought a 240 with wide body on it and they hadn't cut the wheel wells. I can't stand having my wheels way inside the fenders so I want to do something also, probably end up cutting them but it just seems sketchy to me. Let me know what you do.

you have to cut the fender or theres no point, if you dont want to cut them then just fix the damage plain and simple and the smallest overfender is 20mm

My 180SX. 30mm widebody overs in the rear.

275/40/17's on 9J's... +13 offset. Fenders not cut (just pulled/rolled)... Wheel spacers etc not used:





Front: 235/45/17, 9J's... +15 offset. 20mm overs (if anyone was wondering).

So NO- it's not a must.

However, cutting/pinch welding the rear fenders WILL give the option for wider wheels at lower ride heights. On my current USA build, I had the fenders cut/welded up to the body line:

did you bondo your rivets or what did you do to make it looks like this?

You dont have to cut it if you dont plan on lowering the car much...
