![]() Hey guys im hoping someone can help me out with this. So ive got a s13 coupe and for some reason the alternator isnt charging the battery. I just replaced and properly installed the alternator yesterday and when i start my car its reading around 11.8v??? it should be around 13v-14v i believe when its in a charging state. Ive got a new battery, check all the grounds, there isnt any open wire showing. My battery light doesnt turn on on at all, switched the light bulb and still nothing. Any suggestion would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks |

check for continuity within your power wire to the alt. while you are at it check for continuity through your grounds and what not just to confirm there is no opens or shorts.

thanks man. So i set my DMM to 200 omhs to test the continuity of the alternator and the ground read 0.00 and power to alt didnt make the dmm say anything, just remained the same as when it wasnt connected to anything. Does that mean something?
