Thumbs up dynamic camber on S13

My friend (citizen) not to say any names or anything (flame the crap outa him jk jk) Told me something about coilovers and how the springs/ berring mount for the top of the coilovers set up is different than stock. He said that they are slightley offset verses spring/ shock combos and that gives you more dynamic camber at lock. I researched this and found nothing to say that. I have GC's with AGX's and I dont really have a problem with this, but my berring mounts are different than stock. I just bought RSR race springs and I was going to put them on, but he said to just sell them and save for coilovers. I dont know about this. He also has about 1 billion degreez or caster, tein tie rods and stock springs so I think this may have something to do with it. Anyway let me know some imput about it. If it is true than RSR Race springs for sale, $220+shipping. NIB!!!

maybe. I still dont know if its worth spending $2000 vs $500. I gotta research, or we need to find a way to have those spring pearches on springs and shocks. Look into it for me.

look into it yourself
not sure if there is enough clearence in the strut towers to center the axis of rotation on the spring perch
and there is no need to spend 2000, cuzs your ground control don't have the problem

That may be the geometric center of the SPRING on the stock type setup, but the strut still rotates around the strut shaft. There is no difference between stock and coilover setups in that respect.

The spring isn't concentric with the axis of rotation on the stock setup to let the assembly fit inside the space available easier. That is all. This just allows for more room in the engine bay.

Or are you saying that at full lock and with lots of camber dialed in, you're afraid that the top spring hat on a stock setup would hit the strut towers? I haven't seen this happen, btw, but I also dont see too many people running massive camber on a spring/shock setup.
