Anything is possible JZSX

So i thought i might as well make a build thread since i did with my last car

So this build thread serves a purpose for me and others. Currently i havent had a job in about 2 years. While im not proud of the this will show you that anything is possible. currently all i do is buy stuff for cheap and flip them. this build will now be the best or the cleanest but does show you can build a decent car without $$$$$$$$

a little insight in december 2011 i had a 86.5 MKIII. i got rod knock and decided to do a tear down. in March 2012 i picked up this lil POS

car is a 1990 SOHC orginal 5spd, perfect interior clean title i was lucky enough to pick it up for $1000 car "ran" it had BHG. so out came the crappy single cam

mean while i was on my way to Socal to deliver a 7M i sold online

then i came back with this bad boy. I sold a bunch of stuff to pick this up for $1000 in san diego, came down with a 7M comes back up with a 1.5JZ

motor was rebuild N/A2J bottom end and a built 1J head, cams springs ARPS every where ect. So at this point i had soo much going on. JZ the MKIII and dual cam swap the 240sx

I came to a realization that i could never build both cars at only 20. So i did the right thing and started parting out the supra.

now comes along April
heres how the cars looked

so i sold the all my supra stuff was able to pick up a Bmagic kit, knock off 326 power wing, hood vent and cheapy coilovers and some Rota P45s, and some cheap 20mm front overs

May comes along and i didnt like the Kit so i sold it, sold some more supra stuff, and picked up a KA24de with trans full swap from my buddy for $500, and picked up a duraflex BN type 2 for $150 really please how the car was coming along

my Bday was May 12 and my buddy got me a spot at 626 drift event. so out of no where we decided to make a over night drive down to Willsprings.
HAD A BLAST, also realized how much VLSD sucked and how much i missed a welded diff.

For now ill try and get all my pics and play catch up till this point,

thanks guys

any who got more photos from over the year so i can update this a little bit more
heres some more pics and a video from Socal

second run ever smackedthe Kall lol
So here comes JUNE, heres how the supra looks by now

did my first local event at with the car, WAS A BLAST, was up all night geting the car prepped
some photos

and smacking my bumper off on a cone

anywho picked up a knock off BRIDE seat for pretty cheap new, very happy how it fits, who knows 1 day ill get a real one

got really tired of the flat black so i got about 12 cans of rustolium almond tan and painted the car

not bad for 3 months?

another night of having fun

JUNE 21st SMH i miss the car

So my buddy julius has a 700 HP MKIII 2J and his oil pump failed on him, now he came up on a NA2JZ with a full 5spd swap, so so i told him i would trade him my rebiuilt block for the swap, so off came the rebuild block and here came my second 2J

stay tuned

Should've kept the MK3 and sold the s13, that is pretty awesome seeing as how you're jobless.

No. I'm older than you and I think this build doesnt qualify as a build - its just a guy doing shit to his car. There has to be a transition to qualify as a build.

Or, you can spend your time and resources trying to find a job. I'm not talking shit for no reason, but its the equivalent of trying to build a nice house with no money. This isnt the Watts Towers we're talking about, there's nothing special going on here.

Again, not trying to be a dick just saying... what is so special about this car that makes it worth looking at?

^^^Didnt you get the memo Mike? Anything's possible. You can make mold a turd into anything you want it to be. Nothing some ill fitting body kit and rattle can paint can't fix. Lowered standards and lowered expectation's all you need...

its ok I understand the feedback, but soon enough the build will get exciting .this is still pretty far back more photos to come and actual building any ways continuing on

came up on some B magic 50mm overfenders let the cutting begin

test fit
and they are on pretty happy with these they seemed a little warped but not to bad over all

gotta wash it sometime?

so i installed the tach i had left over from the supra

so now its late december and my KA decides hey imma blow the headgasket
right about now i just had some money to fix it and that was cutting it close from selling some old parts. so ordered a new head gasket new sensors, and so i THOUGHT i fixed it well i didnt the headgaset didnt seal. soo right about now im like FUCK well time to redue this. i get a call from my buddy he tells me he will sell me his 2JZGE swap out of his SC300 for 800. now right about now im at a very big pickle sell all my KA stuff to buy this swap andstart a JZ swap for the 3rd time OR fix my KA and have a running car

WELLLLLLLLL

i was able to get $750 for my dual cam swap and i bought it lol. IM dumb

thanks for the pics man

so ya now i have ANOTHER JZ im gonna stick with it but in the mean time i was digging around the garage and found some brake lines and also bought some tension rods

Test fitted the motor to see how much of a PAIN in the ass it would be to move stuff around. to my suprise it fitted nicely

a bit of hammering the fire wall and i notched my radiatior support to clear my radiator that was in my supra

also mad my mock up for my guages i never really liked the whole cover the AC vents guage look so i put them here. guages are kragen mechanical. ive put them in multiple cars and havent failed me since very happy how this turned out only a little cutting the the plate with the kit to make it fit

oh, this thread is painful to look at. only bright spot I seen was the chick in the bikini.

we were all young at some point. if Russia doesn't drop bombs on us if/when he makes it to 30 he will look back and be equally disgusted at this thread like some people are.

i wanted to clean up the rear end up a bit. so i decided to install some energy suspension bushings. nothing like deltaco and 7/11 to keep ya going

also wanted to paint all the suspension arms and knuckles

my room mates coupe

i was staring at the car for a couple hours and ive been looking at a lot of builds lately so i decided to keep cleaning up the car. going to start sanding and striping the engine bay and semi dissassmble the motor also. Really glad i decided to start doing this also found rust in a couple places, and the motor was not TOO bad but was worth cleaning
